Gary Posner’s work sits at the intersection of music, mindfulness, and healing. With decades of experience as a professional musician and Emmy-nominated composer, Gary brings a rare depth of listening and sensitivity to his sound therapy and meditation offerings

After college he toured with groups including Tom Tom Club and Talking Heads and has collaborated with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed, The Grateful Dead, Ziggy Marley, Keith Richards, Debbie Harry, The Ramones, Television, The Fine Young Cannibals, The Gipsy Kings, Robert Palmer and Roberta Flack.

As a composer Gary has written more than 40 film and television scores, including PBS features (The Draft; Lincoln @ Gettysburg; the Peabody Award–winning Silence of the Bees) and History Channel projects such as the Emmy Award–winning Russia: Land of the Tsars and its 13‑hour miniseries The Revolution. His music has also appeared on HBO, Cinemax, ESPN, Court TV, TruTV, Discovery Channel and National Geographic.

Gary’s interest in therapeutic sound began when his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2000. He trained with The British Academy of Sound Therapy and holds a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher certification from Tibet House, NYC. He now teaches sound meditation and leads sound baths for students and groups worldwide, blending deep listening, structured composition and mindful practices to support healing, relaxation and presence.
