Full Moon in Aries - September 26, 2026
Welcome, and settle into this soundbath created in harmony with the spiritual energy of the Full Moon in Aries.
Three days after the autumn equinox, on the evening of Saturday, September 26, 2026, the first Full Moon of autumn will illuminate the sky. Traditionally known as the Harvest Moon, this lunar moment invites us to reflect, release, and gather the wisdom of the season so far.
The Full Moon in Aries brings our independence, courage, and deepest desires into focus. It encourages us to stand up for ourselves, reconnect with what truly inspires us, and gently release the masks, habits, or patterns that keep us from moving toward what calls to us. Opposite the Sun in Libra, this Full Moon highlights the balance between “me” and “us.” It offers an opportunity to honor who we are while remaining mindful of our relationships and the harmony we create with others. We can stay true to ourselves without losing connection—and care for others without abandoning our own needs.
As you begin, find a comfortable, quiet space. Lying down with an eye pillow can be deeply supportive. Use headphones or quality speakers if possible, allowing you to fully experience the rich, low-frequency resonance of the instruments. This soundbath blends the collective vibration of Om and sustained vocal chanting—voiced, whispered, and silent—with crystal bowls, gongs, and ambient tones. Allow each layer to guide you inward, supporting relaxation, deeper breath awareness, and a calm, embodied presence. As you listen, you may wish to reflect on these questions: - Where am I being called to stand more fully in my own truth? - What desires or passions am I ready to acknowledge? - What am I ready to release? - How can I honor myself while staying connected to the people I love? Breathe slowly and allow the sound to be your anchor. Chant along if it feels natural, hum softly, or simply listen in silence.
You may notice: - Relaxation and reduced stress - A steadier, more regulated breath - Less mental chatter - Emotional release - A deeper sense of grounding and presence No previous experience is required. Move gently and honor your body throughout the practice. If any sensation feels intense, return to your natural breath, pause, or stop whenever needed. If breathing feels difficult or uncomfortable, discontinue the practice.
When you’re ready, close your eyes, soften your shoulders, and allow this Harvest Moon to illuminate what is ready to be released, renewed, and brought into balance. Thank you for listening. May this Full Moon in Aries reconnect you with your courage, clarity, authenticity, and inner spark.

Om Namah Shivaya
Hi Friends, Most mornings I start my day with a few singing exercises in Sargam. The musical language of India. The western Do-Re-Mi in India is Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa-Da-Ni-Sa. I sing the syllables in different groupings and then in Akra (Ah). Then I proceed to the Bhakti practice of chanting mantras. I sing a few from Krishna Das and a few from Jai Uttal. And sometimes I add a few from Deva Premal. All three have versions of the Mantra Om Namah Shivaya.
Today as I was singing I “heard” a new melody for Om Namah Shivaya. I thought I would share it with you. Namah means to bow and Shiva means inner self Chanting Om Namah Shivaya helps us to master the five elements within us, leading the mind to silence. Silence leads to the experience of Shiva Tattva. In this way, everyone can access Shiva through this mantra. The chanting of this mantra unites the different koshas or layers of our being and elevates the qualities of Shiva within us. It has the effect of quieting the mind and so is also a good way to prepare for meditation. Om Namah Shivaya infuses positive energy and removes negative energy. It is also a stress-buster, helping you to relax and unwind. A restless mind becomes stable and peaceful with regular chanting. It is said that Om Namah Shivaya helps you to gain control over your senses. Give it a listen.
